1. I have surveyed six School Innovation classes concerning what they feel
they need to have to be effective principals in the area of data analysis and
application of that analysis into the curriculum and teaching strategies.
2. Next I will survey or interview 10 Principals on the same topics. Information
gained will be used to construct two courses; one in EL and the other in LIFT.

1. A practical topic from working in Archives such as collecting materials from
Dr. Millard Reed (former TNU President). The processes of collecting items
sought, the human element--interactions, etc...and how to use the collection
to encourage other donations.

1. Preparing candidates for integrating assessment and instruction
- collaborative research paper with Amy Conditt and Donna Youree.
1. A guide to writing objective tests. Students comment in
Tests & Measurements class that guidelines are not followed,
so I'm going to write a brief paper to point out why it's important
to follow guidelines which will give students
the best opportunity for success on an objective test.

1. Administrator disposition toward hiring Pre-K - 3rd licensure teachers as

George Kersey
1. Between 14-15 telephone interviews will be conducted with students who
recently completed the SLLA exam. Students who failed to meet the state
established benchmark will be "paired" with students from their own cohort
and with similar MAT scores who met the state benchmark to
determine the reasons,from the student's perspectives, for the success
AND lack of success on the SLLA.

1. Help MLIS candidates recognize the importance of their work and structure
their work to collect data showing their contribution to student learning
outcomes/meeting standards.
2. Examine doctoral dissertation data for further research and publishing topics.
1. Publish an article on my dissertation. I have identified appropriate

Stella Simpson
1. The evolution of the MAT. Historical data from the beginning of the program to date is in the process of being collected and examined. Includes student demographics, Praxis scores, retention & graduation data. It will also survey graduates about their
current employment status and years of service i the various school systems.
2. Another aspect will look at students who take the traditional route to teacher
licensure as compared to students who choose the alternative licensure route.
